RICKSHAW BUSINESS COMES TO BLOOMINGTON

A new local business is creating jobs and advertising opportunities for Bloomington. The Rickshaw Taxi Restaurant, which opened on the square across from the courthouse this past Tuesday, is already humming with activity.

"We're a bit surprised at the number of job applications we received from students this week," said Simon Gruber, maitre d' and dispatcher. "But employment as a rickshaw puller really does give the kids a good workout while they're earning money."

Bloomington citizens, interviewed on the square, expressed that it was a great way to get around all the construction on Kirkwood.

Local businesses are encouraged to find out about the advertising opportunities the company offers, which are a pleasant alternative to the billboard advertising recently disfavored in town.

Transportation and advertising are not the company's only specialties though. A variety of tasty lap lunches are offered for riders to savor while viewing historic and beautiful downtown Bloomington, including veggie pakoras and deli style sandwiches.
